Fifth and sixth grade students took their learning to new heights with an exciting drone flight project, under the innovative planning of integration specialist Deborah Gerken.

Students were tasked with coding drones to land on specific locations marked by stools, Hula hoops and buckets. This hands-on assignment required the students to calculate coordinates accurately and program their drones to achieve precise landings.

Students could also earn extra points by coding their drones to perform specific mid-air maneuvers, such as flips and other impressive feats.

This project not only tested the students’ coding skills but encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration among classmates.
